A group of ladies called “Ruby Red” walked on Britain’s Got Talent stage for an audition that would go mega viral. The all female dance troupe, aged 25-64, started off slow with a routine dressed as washerwomen. An impatient Simon Cowell hit his red buzzer leaving the room wondering if this was all the girls had to offer. However, just before the other judges hit their buzzers, the gals changed tact big time. The 12-piece tore off their outfits and landed one of the most popular auditions in the shows history.

Ruby Red Performers are definitely not your average Britain’s Got Talent dance act, as the 12 ladies, aged 25-64, hail from the tiny town of Withernsea. Their audition started off somewhat disastrously, as they began dressed as washerwomen and did an intro dance without much pizzazz. This led Simon Cowell to buzz them off, but it seems he was overhasty. Shortly thereafter, the women tore off their outfits, revealing silk nighties and began a real spicy dance routine.

The women definitely got in touch with their wild side, as to the tune of BodyRockers’ “I Like the Way You Move,” more and more clothes kept coming off onstage. The crowd gave a sleepy reception to the slow opening, but once the routine changed gears, the whole audience began cheering wildly. Ruby Red Performers’ dance got more and more saucy before they made a triumphant ending, by now down to their underwear, complete with British flag tassels.

Despite their unconventional routine, Ruby Red Performers’ audition had the makings of a hit on YouTube. The amateur burlesque dancing troupe’s audition on season nine of Britain’s Got Talent attracted 16.7 million views. This made their appearance one of the most popular dance group performances in the history of the show. The audition is just about impossible to watch without a huge smile coming across your face, which is no doubt why it was so popular.
