Three months after Freddie⁤ Freeman was put on the family emergency list because his 3-year-old son got sick, he‌ was named the World Series MVP.

After ⁤the Los Angeles Dodgers won against the New⁣ York Yankees, Freeman talked about his son,‌ Maximus Freeman’s ⁤fight⁤ with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS).

What he shared about ​that experience has parents everywhere cheering ⁢for this dad of​ three, ESPN reported.

“I would gladly strike out with the bases loaded in the Bottom ‍of the ninth inning in Game 7 of⁣ the World Series⁢ 300 million times in a⁤ row than see that again,” he said about watching his son be hospitalized due to this rare autoimmune disorder.

“But he’s on his way,” Freeman added, giving an update on Max’s journey. “It’s going to be a long road.”

On social media, people praised Freeman‍ for how he managed everything.

Freeman’s wife⁣ Chelsea shared updates⁤ with worried fans‌ as they received him ⁤at hospital.

She announced that Max had been diagnosed with GBS via⁤ an Instagram post.
